Writing and producing his first release in over 6 years since parting from "The Slip", Jeff began writing, compiling, and recording material 2 years ago on a journey that has led to this release.
"I will never quit writing again for anything or anybody!" says a confident Jeff.
"I only realized how much a part of me the music really is when I wasn''t writing...well, never again!" Co-Founding FROG & SCORPION Records created the necessary vehicle for Jeff''s Publishing Company JEMAR ENTERTAINMENT to release this project nationally.
Often working 18 to 20 hours a day for weeks to finish this project, Jeff''s level of love for music sometimes leaves him frustrated with just an acceptable outcome.
"The music has got to convey the message or point I''m trying to get across or the theme of the project is completely lost.
Continuity is the key!" He has written and recorded in New York, Atlanta, Miami, and Chicago over the years gaining the producing and arranging experience displayed on this project.
All of the horn and string arrangements were done strictly by him, overseeing every detail personally.
The slant toward heavy rhythm sections can easily be heard in his producing style.
The mix of the heavy rhythm section with the punchy horns and rock guitar riffs weaving in and out, hold up a very strong vocal.
Jeff''s traditional writing style accents the range of music he is passionate about.
From fast moving rock-based songs to slower acoustic tracks with shimmering string sections...his style will not be soon forgotten in the pop & contemporary markets! The wide range of moods presented in "Live With This!" is from raucous to feeling the heartbreak which we have all been through at one time or another.
With subjects ranging from being cheated on in Deeper Than Now, seeing through the fake personality in Total Simulation, and knowing when to let go of a damaging relationship in the title cut Live With This, Jeff hits the nail on the head of lost love, betrayal, and "not taking it anymore!" The first single, "Welcome Back" a refreshing live rendition recorded a few years ago, ironically announces Jeff''s much anticipated return to recording.
With excitement in his eyes Jeff says he is "very pleased with the response we have received so far...having just released the CD to National radio and already starting to get phone calls and e-mails.
I didn''t really expect it...not just yet anyway!" While seeking major label backing, Jeff is not taking anything for granted.
With the next project already under way, arrangements are being made for the first video and to begin touring after the next recording is completed which might be an interactive DVD.
What does the future hold for THRUE? Jeff answers, "The studio work is exciting but nothing matches the thrill of performing live."
