He was in the studio and touring by sixteen years of age; owning his own recording studio by twenty-one. Lending his unique style of playing, VanVechten’s skillful guitar techniques and strong song writing capabilities have added style, power and a tasteful flavor to multiple bands, with numerous original songs and recordings, including 5 full length CD’s and countless EP’s. Signing a worldwide recording contract with RMG, as well as a European licensing deal with NOISE RECORDS, brought a successful European tour as well as MTV, radio, and considerable magazine coverage. Finally “going solo” on his last album, “BoneShovel”, brought VanVechten’s distinctive and powerful vocal style to the forefront while adding the melodic and catchy groove that has become so characteristic in his music today.
