Out of the Buccoo Reef of Trinidad and the concrete sidewalks of New York came a voice destined to make a change. The two worlds came together in one man, merging seamlessly, creating a strong foundation. From here, the vision and drive inside of Davin McLeod would develop into a force for the world to experience.
At the age of three his voice became the light leading the way to his future. The island/urban rhythms permeated his pores with his aunt providing a huge influence. The spirit of the church stayed with Davin and his talent caught the eye of a friend. They bonded and began to create soulful music together.
The island influence continued to wrap itself around Davin as he grew older. At ten, he joined his uncle’s band, Steel Sensations. The culture began to circulate in his veins, picking up the double guitar, triple guitar and cello pans.
His dream became bigger and bigger as acting worked its way into his roots. After attending school for stage technology, Davin left early knowing he couldn’t deny his birthright. He searched for his friend among the island breeze and urban heat to begin creating music again. He constructed poems, screenplays and songs, keeping his craft sharp and ready for any moment.
Davin walks the line, building what he feels will be a good start to a great career. No matter where it leads him you can be sure Davin will have his island and urban heritage holding him down while he leaps over new heights, landing further and further into success.
