Sandbox Rock is committed to providing an enjoyable musical experience for both parent and child. Sandbox Rock is a fresh approach to children’s musical entertainment by creating a "musical compromise" for parents and their little ones. Music can play an important role in early development, and as a result, most, if not all of children''s music is tailored solely for kids, all the while completely disregarding the parents and their musical tastes. The goal of Sandbox Rock is to provide a musical medium that is enjoyable for both parent and child. We begin with good, clean rock ‘n roll songs from popular artists (The classic favorites!) and restyle them to be more pleasing to a young child’s ears. In place of a noisy rock band, soft and soothing, yet fun keyboards now relay the melody and kids become lead singers. Much like fairy tales are passed down through generations, Sandbox Rock presents retellings of classic musical stories. It''s just one more bonding opportunity for you and your child.
While there is a large variety of children’s music available on the market today. Much of what adults enjoy listening to can be abrasive and harsh on young ears. However, music that specifically targets small children can sometimes be overly one-dimensional for parents. Sandbox Rock provides a unique musical model, and offers a compromise for parent and child. Kids can relate to the soft, fun sounds of the music and the children singing, while the adults can listen to a stylized version of songs they know and love.
Our core group of musical producers begins with classic, popular rock hits and arranges the instruments to be more suitable for young children. Next, we have kids around the ages of seven and under come and perform the vocals. Groups of children often are used for the choruses of songs, while the verses are sung as a solo. We find everyday children who like to sing – not professionals – and their spirit, energy, and imperfections are what drives the project, and what makes the sound so appealing, authentic, and adorable!
Our first genre-spanning compilation is called The Formula of Rock, Vol. 1. This product offers modified versions of hit songs by artists such as Van Halen, Paul Simon, Bob Seger, Neil Diamond, Coldplay, and Kelly Clarkson.
