Four selections from a live radio program present Sue at her best, with her tight rhythm section, featuring her longtime drummer, Sharon Shufelt, bassist Pete Harrison, and sultry lead singer Deejha Marie. Award winning songwriter Janell Rock, has written a wonderful anthem to Sue in all her glory: "Queen of the Boogie." April West, san Diego''s awesome trombonist, is showcased on Duke Ellington''s beautiful "Sophisticated Lady." Mixing blues and jazz effortlessly, Sue''s original, "Interlude," provides a format for the band to show off their jazz abilities and provides a vehicle for San Diego''s elder jazz statesman, Daniel Jackson, on tenor sax. Mr. Jackson is best known for his tenure in Ray Charles band. World class blues tenor man Jonny viau torches up the album with Sue''s blues "Ladies Shoes."
