The Sound Of Brooklyn (TSOB) Records is a state-of-the-art recording studio
and independent record label based in Brooklyn, New York. More than just simply
another upstart independent record label, TSOB Records prides itself in keeping
with the tradition of creating quality music with broad appeal. This Industry is
filled with startup companies, however, one thing about TSOB Records is the
fact that they work hard at producing quality music for today and tomorrow.
Equipped with just a small staff and a roster of only 5 artists that covers
5 genres of music. Amazingly they have created a sound that is so hip and
refreshing. “Our music is ‘universal’,” says Jo-EL, CEO of TSOB Records.
One of their artists, Shiz of “ETCETERA” who has seen the music biz change
drastically, has been nominated twice for placement on the 2005 and 2007
Grammy Awards Ballots. the enigmatic and soulful 17 year-old Phenom
“COCOA SARAI” and QB’s Pop Diva “SHA” bring such melodic flavor that it
reminds us of the days when music was music. Bringing up the rear with their
street savvy rhymes and block huggin’ swagger is no other than Boogie-down BX''s
own JHETT-O-NASIS and Bk''s Sanatra spitting his clever rhymes, stashed with
creative metaphors, word play, and hooks that stick to your memory.
Collectively TSOB artists work as a team and are dedicated to their craft.
On a normal day TSOB studios nestled in East New York section of Brooklyn
bangs out nothing but hits. Our studio is just as up to date as the great city
studios, says Jo-EL, the CEO of TSOB Records. When it is time to create
masterpieces all of it is done here.
