Details:
There isn’t a whole lot that I can say about myself. I’ve graduated from Sacramento State University, with a BA in English, so I’ve invested a lot of time in knowledge. Mom and pops came from the projects of East Oakland, so I got that part of me as well. I’m from Stockton, California, and I rep not only Stockton but all of the west coast. it took me about a year to get this album out that you see here, and there will b hopefully many more where that came from.

I’ve been writing since I was very little. At first it was some rap songs, and then R&B songs (Yes, for a minute ya boy thought he could actually sing). Later it turned into poetry. I just liked to mess with words and the meanings of words, and the sound that you can combine then to make in certain patterns. In the tenth grade I got back into rapping, at that time Eminem came out, and ice cube released another CD and I was feeling the fuck out of it. I even wrote I verse to the beat of an ice cube song (that I push rhymes like weight track). It was aiight, I recorded it on this little miniature tape recorder (you know, the one Maculey Cualkin had in the home alone movies) and took it around school and let people listen to it. About this time I was in high school and I didn’t get out a whole lot, so when my rap songs turned back into poetry, which they naturally did the very next year, I was amazed at what I was able to put together. So much so that I went about trying to publish a book of my poetry. Unfortunately, being that I’ve never seemed like the poet type, everybody kinda expected the book to be hella off the wall, and thus no1 really paid much attention to it. I still got the original copies and read them from time to time. They weren’t really about love, I didn’t know what that felt like. They were about pain, struggle, heartbreak and loneness. There were some happy poems, but for the most part they were meant to make people think, and ask themselves questions. Questions like: am I doing the right thing? Why do I like the things I like? Should I trust my closest friends? And what does the future hold, and how will my decisions effect my future? I never felt like it was my job to answer them, shit because I never knew the answers my damn self…

After I graduated high school, and started going to college, I started writing rap again. This time it was this hot boys track that got me going. I had a lot of time on my hands, between not having a car, and riding the greyhound bus to and from school, I didn’t really have much of a life. So… I bought my first official rap notebook, and I musta wrote about 20 or 30 verses before, my moms overheard me spitting them in my room, and told me to holla at my uncle. Now, my uncle had been rapping and everything for years. I wasn’t a freestyler or anything like that, so when I came to him, he looked at me like I had told him that I could fly. So he gave me some beats and told me to write a rap to the beats. I did, came over his house and spit them… long story short he took me to the studio the next day. That was the summer of 03... The next summer I recorded my first album entitled “Buy My CD”, it sold 500 copies, and I got picked up with a local label Fulltime Ent. So in honor of the album, I was gonna title this album, “By My Damn Self”… but that title didn’t make it through the final cut… which I aint trippin I got more albums and mixtapes, which means more crazy ass fucking titles. Thank you for taking the time to check out my page and read this. I put I a lot of work in what I do, and it means a lot. Thanx!
