Brilliant nostalgia in a pool of glittering dreams, keeping love alive with swirling keyboards, driving guitars and stomping dance beats... absolutely synthalicious.

13 MP3 Songs
POP: New Wave, ELECTRONIC: Pop Crossover

Details:
Caffeine Sunday creates cleverly crafted synthpop, inspired by the shadows and shiny reflections of everyday human relationships. Songs explode with a blend of bittersweet lyrics, electronic grooves and heartfelt melodies. The group writes and performs original, energetic music under the influence of electro/synth bands Depeche Mode, New Order and Erasure, with a bit of Matthew Sweet and Ohio Express thrown in as well.

Caffeine Sunday hails from Edmonton, Canada, and formed in 1997 as the brainchild of singers/songwriters Christopher Nash and Ryan Ezinga. The band released its debut CD Detox the same year. The band''s latest CD, Karmaland, was released in May 2001 and is available at gigs, in local music stores, and online from CD Baby.

Not content to just create shiny synth-pop in their home studio, Caffeine Sunday puts heavy emphasis on live performance. Their current performing line-up consists of Christopher on lead vocals and guitar, Ryan on guitar, keyboards and vocals, Pamela Steil on vocals and keyboards, and Joel Ezinga on drums. CS''s shows are a natural extension of their songs - a celebration of love, pain, joy, loss, and every emotion in between played out with energetic music.

Karmaland, the band''s latest release, is 13 tracks of non-stop electronic fun. Caffeine Sunday - pop goes the love.
