MP3 Brian Butler - Axuality Volume III

This is hip improvisational rockjazz guitar. The improv quality comes through by speaking to you as an old friend would-honestly and making you feel cool.

Details:
This is music for:
People who think for themselves,
who like something different,
who are independent and upright,
who have guts and are honest,
who have the steel to say ''no''
...or ''yes''
and who know they''re going to win.

Like being in a conversation with an old friend who is telling you how cool you are.

It''s like having someone talk to you, telling you good things about yourself.

Kind of like Eric Clapton playing Pat Metheny.

I think you''ll find that the music lends itself to making you feel good about things. It comes with an air of confidence and self-knowledge.

I don''t know what notes I''m going to play until I play them.

You should care because the music will free up your thoughts and actions. Watch.

Good, honest music. You''ll see what I mean by honest.

When you sit down and talk with a friend, both of you ad-lib your responses to each other, tailoring them of course to relate to what the other person is saying to you. If you were to write a speech ahead of time, and then read from this speech as a response to everything your friend said to you even though your pre-written speech had nothing to do with your friend''s side of the conversation, then your side of the conversation would be considered nonsense, or to put it nicely, your side of the conversation would NOT be considered a sincere attempt to communicate.

In another case, even if you WERE paying attention to what your friend was saying, and yet you answered with a string of applicable "buzzwords and cliches" instead of using just plain old friend-to-friend language, you still might be accused of being somewhat less than sincere.

In other words, the best (and mostly widely-used, duh) way of carrying on a conversation is to ad-lib what you''re saying, and this will be considered the sincere way of communicating, of course.

Consider a person giving a speech on television. If it is obvious that they are reading their lines to you, doesn''t it seem less than sincere, in some sense, than when the speaker is ad-libbing and talking directly to you? It even seems that when someone is talking TO YOU, ad-libbing from a podium, they seem even more "living" or "present" among us, the living, than someone who is merely repeating words from a piece of paper in front of them.

I am confident that as you listen to this music over time, it will begin to occur to you that the things you''d like to accomplish are actually within your reach, and from there you''ll come to understand how to succeed in getting them. Why? I believe that the improvisitory nature of the music rubs off on the listener, helps free their thought, and supports their understanding that they are self-empowered.
