How to come up with BRILLIANT kindle IDEAS EVERYDAY
I'm going to be as short as I possibly can (You have enough stuff taking up your time!)
After releasing my 20 Romance Novel Plot Ideas WSO, I had several pm me and shoot me emails asking me various questions about how I come up with my plots, details on writing, and so on. I decided it was best to actually put it out here rather than answer the same questions repeatedly.

I've taken full-year writing courses that didn't offer as much useful information as this 24-page PDF.
The accompanying plot layout chart is inspiring. Though it includes a great plot you can adapt to your own novel, the really important thing is to see how to chart the plot and subplots, on paper or digitally. To pace a book so your readers will enjoy it, this is exactly what you need for every romance, mystery, thriller, or other genre novel you write.
The Big Plot Linkups sheet shows you what goes into a good, tangled plot that keeps readers guessing right up to the last page.
The Developing Characters PDF is a good outline for any character in your book. The family tree tips are particularly useful if you're working on a multi-generational saga.
If you're serious about writing novels (or even short stories), you'll want both the WSO and the OTO, which pretty much expands the WSO exponentially.
The OTO contains several parts, just as the WSO does. Each, independently, is a full set of useful tools for any novelist.
I'm in love with this OTO's list of rich, juicy verbs and adjectives. Seriously, when you're flying through a novel -- and that is how quickly you'll want to write, to give your readers that important sense of breathless pacing -- the very last thing you want to do is come up with a fresh way to describe how the hero said something, or the worried expression on the heroine's face (or vice versa).
That list reminds me of one I bought (for about $14) at the 1994 Romance Writers of America conference in NYC. I was devastated when it was lost during a cross-country move, but Amber's list is much better. She's organized the words in ways that trigger ideas. They're not just synonyms. Your thesaurus can't deliver what this list does.
The OTO's list of "pet names" (things lovers call each other... not alternatives to Fido or Tabby) is pure genius. There's always a point in the plot where your hero or heroine uses an obnoxiously mushy "pet name" in a drippingly sarcastic tone of voice, and -- in the heat of the moment -- a list like this will keep your focus on the characters' emotions rather than the words.
This is the kind of writer's course I'd expect to pay over $100 for. It's best for people who already have an understanding of how novels work, and the kind of "what if?" questions writers use to take a basic plot and wrap it around the genre, location, and time period they're writing about.
In some ways, this is a gentler gradient for new writers, compared with Amber's previous WSO for writers. This won't substitute for a basic course in creative writing, if you're completely baffled by the writing process. However, if you already have a general idea of what goes into writing books, this WSO delivers what you need.
If you're a writer at heart, you'll get why this WSO is such a lifesaver. If you just don't understand how people can write novels, I'm not certain this WSO (or any WSO, for that matter) can talk you through it.
Any program that claims to be a fully by-the-numbers approach to novel writing... it's not worth buying. Good writing doesn't work that way.
Nevertheless, there are a lot of things that can be assembled for you, and this WSO puts most of those tools on your desktop.
For someone like me, this WSO is a great way to avoid writer's block. It covers almost everything you'll need to build your novel from the ground up, and avoid yet another half-baked, unfinished book sitting on your hard drive.
