The band formed in mid 2002. Straight away we started to gig at home and in Dublin City. At first we mainly played songs that Keith played at his solo acoustic gigs, we added and changed bits to suit the band and the songs seemed to move in a bluesy/jazzy direction based on influences such as Peter Green, Tom Waits, Freddie King e.t.c. We then slowly began to write some songs as a band which allowed us all some input. So armed with a lengthly set-list we played a lot of gigs around Dublin over a period of about two years. Playing such venues as The Mezzanine, The Temple Bar Music Centre, The Boom Boom Room, Liberty Hall, Trinity College e.t.c. The experience of playing together for two years taught us a lot, especially the dynamics of a band. We learned about the habits of each other on stage, which allowed us to play some improv and experiment a little, but we still have things to learn, which we hope we''ll grasp with time.
In October 2003 we began to record what is now our first album "The Dancer Who Stole Your Shoes".
The whole album was recorded at home and with a lot of help from friends and family we finally finished it in March 2004.
Since then it has been reviewed by countless amounts of people, papers and magazines. We were lucky enough to be chosen as the Hotpress Pick of the Fortnight, which has brought a lot of interest our way.
