Details:
After the album of wide and infinite ambient landscapes ''Me And Mike'' (1999) Mr Jason released ''East End'' (2001), which introduces some interesting, new elements in his music. It is rhythmically more inspiring, the trend still taken further on ''Frogman''s World'' (2002). Also the way themes are presented and developed has been refined further, a concentrated listener will be rewarded by musical structures and solutions, the album seems to sound better and better every time.

The earlier nice elements are still present; the moods and atmospheres evoked vary from fragile beauty to perplexing anguish and from hidden joy to open melancholy. For a vivid imagination they offer an endless material for ambient images and sceneries to arise.

As ''Me And Mike'' also this album reflects the Oriental world, Japanese to be more exact. It has been devoted to the composer''s Japanese ex-wife. Many of the track names are Japanese: Amaterasu is ''the goddess of the sun'', Asahi is ''sunrise'' and Ohayo Gozaimasu is ''good morning''.

The production has again been careful, not a self-evident characteristic on every album of ambient music. Sounds are highly elaborated and free of tiring gimmicks, mixing and balance have been carefully considered making the album an enjoyable experience.
