Santus Gore''s second album, "Evolution", looks at some of the questions we all have about life , it''s meaning, and the way we look at the world.
"We all have questions about the meaning of life" he says, "and we all wonder about what will happen when we pass on. We hear so many different theories about how the universe was formed and whether or not we''re going to go to heaven or hell. I have these questions too - and the questions got louder when my mother succumbed to cancer after I released "Sentience" in 2004. When I started working on "Evolution", the project just kind of took on a life of it''s own. "
One of the songs on Santus'' new album, "I Have These Dreams", lends itself to the fact that, like many people, Santus never seems to get a full night''s sleep. "My mind is always busy" he says, "and it''s not uncommon for me to be up at all hours of the night working on stuff in our race shop. I know it drives my neighbors nuts, but hey, when you can''t sleep, what else are you supposed to do?"
