Composer/Musician Andy Georges has proven his talents in almost every area of the music business. An accomplished guitarist and vocalist, Georges is in demand for session work with artists such as Sheryl Crow, Maia Sharp, Jewel, Dave Weckl, and film composer Alex Wurman. He has contributed his playing and composing abilties to the scores of several motion pictures, including "Play It to the Bone," "Eat Your Heart Out," and "Sleep Easy Hutch Rimes." For the soundtrack of the latter film, he also wrote and performed an original song, "Follow Me Home." Georges has also co-written a song with Maia Sharp called "Sinners" and can be found on the Maia Sharp self titled release.
Time Is A Thief is the latest release by Georges. It''s the culmination of songs written in the last six years with lyricist Catherine Thompson. Georges plays all of the instruments on most of the record and also used some backing musicians on some of the songs. Also co-writing one of the songs is his five year old daughter Anastasia. There''s also an earlier release by Georges'' former band The Beggarwoods called Perfumed Garden and can be found on CD-Baby as well.
With strains of rock, blues, world music, and jazz in his work, Georges has established himself as a distinctive voice in the Los Angeles music scene.
