I have to agree that "Stupid Wordpress Mistakes" is an excellent guide for anyone new to Wordpress, or with limited experience. In fact, I am already recommending this ebook in WF threads and I plan to write a post on my blog recommending it.
Istvan's opinions about theme selection completely reflect my own, as does his advice about plugin selection, and considerations.
After reading this package, I quickly realized that from my own perspective, it was not a wise purchase, because my knowledge and experience sets me outside the audience it is aimed at. BUT, I must immediately qualify that statement by pointing out that there are hundreds, more like thousands of others who should purchase it, and for whom it will be a godsend of advice and guidance.
As I've already mentioned, I shall use it as a resource to point others towards, both here on the WF and on my blog.

I bought this out of interest to see if there were any great holes in my current understanding. The footer code information was not something I had ever really thought about.
