Hello from IPM Productions!
We are thrilled to share with you On the Wings of the Wind and we want to tell you just a little bit about what it is, why we made it and how we hope you might enjoy it.
The concept for On the Wings of the Wind began several years ago when the two of us met in a small church near Rochester, NY. Sarah and her dad, Mikel Brown, were involved in leading worship and invited Michael (a classical violin student at the Eastman School of Music) to work with them. It was quickly apparent that we shared both a great love for traditional Christian hymns and an unusual oneness of style. We had a deep musical urge to expand the hymns'' beautiful melodies beyond the basic 4-part choral arrangements of standard hymn books; and (much to our own amazement) when we played together, beautiful things just happened! To this day, we cannot fully explain how we do what we do. We are, however, unspeakably grateful for the gift that God has given us and for the joy that it brings us to worship Him with this music.
Our family and friends have been amazingly supportive of our work together. We have been continually astonished by your enthusiasic responses to our live improv''s and classical/sacred concerts at numerous churches, recital halls and homes. Largely due to this overwhelming support, when we formed IPM Productions (an independent music production and recording company) our first CD concept was On Wings of the Wind -- a collection of some of our (and your) favorite hymns, improvised just exactly as we play them live! We intentionally avoided all but the most basic edits and effects. Our goal was to capture the true, fresh, and personal essence of our duo-improv style projected through the clear, simple and pristine beauty of these wonderful songs.
The making of this album has brought us a great deal of pleasure and joy. To revisit such amazing music is always a joy, especially when its sole purpose is to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ who "makes the clouds His chariot...[and] walks upon the wings of the wind" (Ps 104:3b NASB). We trust that this music will lift and encourage your spirits as it has ours.

May the Lord richly bless you with His love and beauty; and may your heart soar with Him On The Wings of the Wind!

SO WHO IS THE PRINCESS?

IPM Productions is the combined effort of two performers, music fanatics and sonic visionaries: Sarah Brown (Princess) and Mike Danchi (Infinite5ths). Sarah (pianist, free-lance composer and arranger) and Mike (violinist, self-styled recording engineer & techno geek) teamed up in 2003 to perform live classical, sacred and improv''d music. The two can be heard playing at several churches and at Mike''s school (The Eastman School of Music) in the Greater Rochester, NY area. They spent portions of Summer 2004 playing concerts in Raleigh, NC (Mike''s hometown) and Mentor, OH (a suburb of Cleveland).

During the early months of 2004, Mike and Sarah decided to merge their musical passions, skills and nicknames to form Infinite5ths & Princess Music (IPM Productions). Having played, written, arranged and listened to classical, sacred, showtune, and soundtrack music for nearly all their lives (tens of thousands of hours combined), they together have a rich and broad reserve of inspiration.

In IPM''s Rochester-based, Yamaha equipped digital studios, Mike and Sarah work with high end pro level synthesizer, digital hard disk multi-track, editing, sampling, sequencing, sheet music notation, and acoustic violin and piano tools (including several of Eastman''s fine Steinway pianos). In addition, Michael and Sarah firmly believe in the benefits of working and recording in a beautiful and uplifting environment.
Thus, the studios are specially equipped for remote operation in such scenic locations as nearby Canandaigua Lake (one of New York''s gorgeous fingerlakes) and the charming Village of Scottsville.

Sarah and Mike are both Christians who believe strongly in God-given talent and hence in the responsibility to use that talent for God''s glory. In all of their music, they seek to reflect the Person and Image of Jesus Christ, to honor Him and to encourage people with His beauty and message of love and salvation.
