Details:
Voodoo Pilot''s 3rd and most recent CD, "Good Luck Charm," is the product of fifteen months in the studio. On Chicago''s 93.1 WXRT DJ Richard Milne said: the CD is "loose and focused...sounds spontaneous, not an easy thing to do." (on Local Anesthetic Capsule 05/09/07)
On "Good Luck Charm" the band keeps John Liggett on lead vocal, guitar and harmonica, Bill Galey on lead & backing vocal, guitar, slide guitar and keyboard, and Dave Kohn on drums and percussion. David Bernstein jumped in on bass and upright bass guitar. The addition of a fifth member, Eric Wolff, on lead and backing vocal, guitar and keyboard, has given the band a richer sound.
The band has played all over the greater Chicagoland area and has been getting around the region a little more, playing up from northern Illinois and into Wisconsin, including Otto''s Niteclub in Dekalb, IL, and Mike''s Roadhouse in Beloit, WI and southwest into Morris, IL, among other regional venues.
Voodoo Pilot has enjoyed radio airplay on Chicago''s own 93.1 WXRT and numerous, musician friendly radio stations across the country. Also, the band has performed for Chicago’s CAN TV a number of times.
The band has opened for national acts including The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Roomful of Blues, Molly Hatchet, Wishbone Ash, Paul Chapman (UFO) and the amazing Johnny Winter.
Voodoo Pilot has three CDs: "Sometimes" (2003), "Turntable Lover" (2004), and "Good Luck Charm" (2007) available on CD Baby. Purchase all three for $15, details in CD Baby shopping cart!
