Details:
This is one of the hottest young bands today!

This debut CD from the trio out of Houston, Texas rocks from start to finish! Amazing guitar from 16 year old phenom Dalton Dunn. The Blue Threads sound and original tunes are inspired by an eclectic mix of Jimi Hendrix, The Stooges, Muddy Waters, SRV, The Jeff Beck Group, with a little bit of indie rock “and stuff” as band leader Dalton Dunn is fond of saying.

The Blue Threads started out in 2004 playing gigs around the Houston area. Dalton Dunn, long known regionally (even though he’s currently only 16 years old), as an up-and-coming Blues guitarist first played on stage at the age of 10 with Matt Leddy & The Meatcutters. Brandon Custer on drums, and bassist Judson Crouch (16 and 17 years old respectively), are both veterans of the School of Rock located in Austin, TX and have been performing for several years as well.

It was last summer when the guys decided to get serious and booked several gigs in Houston - including the venerable Fitzgeralds – where legends such as BB King and Stevie Ray Vaughan have performed. They also competed in the 2006 International Blues Competition via the Houston Blues Society, winning 3rd Place in Region among artists many years their senior.

Following a few gigs on Austin’s famous 6th Street in the summer of ’06, they decided that a CD was in their future. During Spring Break of 2007, The Blue Threads spent a week with Rock “Dr. Rockit” Romano at his Red Shack Recording Studio in Houston.
