Who are my influences? Of course the Beatles, Stones, Chuck Berry, The Who, Van Morrison, Pretenders, Tom Petty, Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan.. where do I stop? Such a wide range of styles and sounds can be found. A really strong influence for me has been artists like Steely Dan. The complexity of their work is just amazing. A San Francisco band called It''s a Beautiful Day (remember White Bird?) was a great influence, but so was T-Rex, The Cars, Earth, Wind and Fire, and The Eagles. Just about everyone from icons of early rock, blues, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Classical.... I like almost all music, but 60''s and 70''s and early 80''s music probably has the greatest influence on my style.

In addition to being a musician, Dr. O has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California Irvine.
