Details:
Carol, a member of the LYNYRD SKYNYRD BAND, was born and raised on the western plains of the Dakotas, in a small town of 1800 people. From an early age, her mother had her and her sisters singing three part harmony for special music programs that the local ''music club'' would put on. Little did she realize that she was training for her future as one of the 2 back-up singers(the Honkettes) with LYNYRD SKYNYRD.
Throughout her school years she was always involved in the school''s music programs, from singing in the choir and small ensembles to playing oboe in the band. She attended and graduated from the University of North Dakota. During that time she auditioned for the prestigious University Chorus and earned a spot in the first soprano section, although she was offered her choice of the alto part too. She told the director that she liked to sing ''lead'' and so it was!

It was in college that Carol joined a local band that played around the area and at school events. She also led a cheering crowd at the stadium on Saturday afternoons, as a college football cheerleader. During her college years she was voted Miss Engineer by the engineering college and her rendition of "Since I Fell For You", in the talent portion of the event, made big campus news.

It wasn''t hard to see that Carol had her eyes and heart set on a career in music and when she and her college sweetheart married, they, along with their infant daughter, decided to move out West where she could really pursue her dream.

She was living in Reno and singing in Lake Tahoe when an L.A. producer heard her and urged her to move to L.A, and see what she could do. She did just that and a year later she was the lead singer with a rock band on the Tomorrowland stage in Disneyland. She had won the spot over 50 other hopefuls. After a year and a half, she decided it was time to move up to the big city, L.A. itself, and was soon approached to be the first artist on Casablanca West records. She had a top ten record with her first release, but with the release of her second single, the label folded, following the untimely death of mentor, Neil Bogart. Carol was to do one more album on a newly formed label, but that label was also short-lived.

Carol was now a single mom, raising a young daughter in L.A. She started writing songs and one of her first attempts, "WE BELONG TOGETHER", produced a #1 song for Susie Allanson, on the country charts. This event introduced her to the song-writing community and she was off and running. She later moved to Nashville, where she still resides, and became a sought after demo singer and back-up singer on major artists records. Her song-writing produced cuts by Pam Tillis, "DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR MAN IS TONIGHT?"; Ronnie Milsap, "CIVIL WAR"; Martina McBride, "TRUE BLUE FOOL": Rickey Van Shelton, "BABY TAKE A PICTURE"; and others. (See discography).

In the spring of 1996, while she and a co-writer were song-writing in Nashville, she got a call from her friend Rickey Medlocke, who informed her that he was back in Lynyrd Skynyrd and that there was an opening for a back-up singer. Two days later she arrived in Ft. Meyers, Fl. to audition for the band and was hired to start touring with them in two weeks.

She has been with the band ever since, touring and recording with them. In early 2004, on her time off, she recorded her own solo c.d.. entitled ''BLUE HIGHWAY''. She sells it off her web-site and on the internet sites, https://www.tradebit.com and https://www.tradebit.com. The L.S. band continues on as the classic Southern rock band of all times, playing for capacity crowds.

When not on tour, Carol likes to play golf, snow ski, read, knit, exercise, oil-paint, and hang out with her friends and her daughter. There''s never a dull moment and never a moment to waste.
