”GOD’S ROD OF KORRECTION”
The debut of JAY-ROD has been several years in the making, and had it not been for God it would have never been. Growing up in the inner city streets of Cleveland, Ohio as the eldest child of four, JAY-ROD was a witness to things that changed his life. Although his mother raised him and his siblings in the church, his mother was a victim of verbal abuse and domestic violence for several years. JAY-ROD always excelled academically however, as the years rolled by he inherited several of the things that he had bared witness to several years prior. These things included drug distribution and drug abuse. He also became involved in gang-affiliated activities.
After living a lifestyle for several years that was contrary to the Christian background that was instilled in him, JAY-ROD stopped running and heeded his calling.
JAY-ROD truly believes “ whom the Son sets free, is free indeed” and as a result has allowed God to use him to comprise his debut CD entitled “I WON’T BE SILENT ANYMORE.” The CD is described as, “a unique blend of The Gospel and real life everyday experiences.” The married father of four says that he hopes listeners will be able to hear something on his CD that they’ll not only be able to relate to, but be able to take something from as well.
“I WON’T BE SILENT ANYMORE” touches on everything from domestic violence to violence in schools, but more importantly it ministers the gospel of Jesus Christ to listeners of all ages. A true believer that God is able to deliver, redeem and use any willing individual, JAY-ROD is ready to take gospel music to the next level. He invites you to not only listen to, but experience and understand for yourself just why he says
“I WONT BE SILENT ANYMORE.”
