ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: Pop/Rock

Details:
The Thomas Syndrome consists of four members, all hailing from Fresno, California. The band''s members have played music together for a number of years, and have been actively practicing, performing, and recording together over the last couple of years. Some of the highlights include winning two different “battle of the bands’,” and finishing their first full-length, self-produced album, “Lately,” in May of 2007. The album has 13 tracks, and has received great responses from all who’ve heard it so far.

Fed up with the lack of depth in much of today’s mainstream music, and inspired by underground, lesser-known bands, the guys have made a strong effort to create interesting and sophisticated music that is both enjoyable and accessible to any who hear it. With wide-reaching musical influences such as Delirious, Vertical Horizon, Jars of Clay, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Snow Patrol, This Day & Age, Glen Phillips, U2, Muse, Miles Davis, Radiohead, Goo Goo Dolls, Travis, and Coldplay, The Thomas Syndrome creates a sound that is stylistically diverse, that still manages to maintain a cohesive “vibe.” The band strives for the meaning of their music to be evident, and nothing is better than playing something that is great to listen to. Several of the band''s songs deal with issues of faith, doubt, hope, insecurities, and love - issues that are common to the human race. The guys feel that their music is easy to relate to, and conveys the authenticity with which they try to live their lives.

Simply put, The Thomas Syndrome realizes the power of music and desires to use whatever success they achieve to share love with people, whether through a song or social justice issues. This sentiment has become a driving force behind everything that the band is doing and is inspiring new songs and giving audiences a deeper connection to the band than they are normally used to experiencing with other, less profound, less interesting, and less arrogant bands.

The Thomas Syndrome is:

Paul Carlson, Jared Lackey, Josh Lee, and Shawn Cunning.
