Born and raised in Macon, Ga. she started singing at the tender age of nine, when she fell in love with the artistic cultures of hip hop and R&B. She knew immediately that this culture would be intensely involved in her future. As Zuri and the R&B culture simultaneously grew and matured, she felt a desire to unify R&B with the peace and stability she experienced by growing up in a Christian family. This love of God and life through song is the epitome of her compositions, and it''s what makes her music so powerful.
Ironically, at one time in her life, she was too shy to even stand before a classroom of peers. Now her music has taken her to headlining major events, plays, and concerts.
