Elemental Asylum is the result of the transmutation of an acoustic 12 String guitar instrumental background music CD created at the request of m''Lady Catherine into a one way or another maximally or minimally digitally processed amalgam condensed from over ten hours of premix recordings as an excursion into the realm of the quantum singularity. I particularly like "Larvel" with it''s Spanish Blues ambience, "EtherieAiry" for it''s etheriarity and "E Chop" for it''s mild funky sass (mild? hmm...) "MRDMOMBBDB" is where the excursion really takes off ending with track 13 as a sort of "XT Rolled Oats" reprise (but with "MRDMOMBBDB" as it''s source, for those that care, heheheh...as if...but hey, if you DO care send me an email and tell me about it!) Changgan Xing is a "bonus" song. It is one of those "spontaneous" songs that just sort of happens from out of nowhere already virtually fully grown. All it lacks is a singer and I am currently looking for her. She must be fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese with a voice like heaven, of course... I included it on this CD just to "get it out there". It is basically a 1200 year old blues based on a poem by the venerated Li Bai during the T''Ang Dynasty of 8th century A.D. China. Tracks 14-17 are ringtone samples which are also included in mp3 format, as well as three videos, all accessible by PC.
The first video "foray" is "UltraWeb", the result of going outside on a whim with the digital camera set to video and then editing the raw "footage" with music. "FlutterBy" was much the same. "Rain" is intriguing and rather mesmerizing and possibly even therapeutic somehow. Making this was much fun for me. I hope you hear something you like!
