Details:
Mugdown is a fusion of the classic rock sound of the Doors, songwriting of Neil Young and Jack Johnson and modern jam bands like Moe and Tea Leaf Green. It''s not a sound your hearing everyday but it captures the energy and improvisational qualities any music fan can appriciate. Its a sound you will be hearing a lot more of!

Side of the Road is a disc of stories and experiences executed thru a musical medium and written by Ken Coulson. Ken began writing songs in 2004 after living in Europe for 4 1/2 years. His song writing is a product of exposure to different cultures and experiences but a recognition that its'' our commonalities that unite and divide us. Ken''s guitar playing is another thing altogether. Fierce and unwieldy, soaring and melodious, the guitar will propel you to new levels of musical appreciation.

The Side of the Road is about being a bystander and a participant as we journey down life''s road. A realization that things are only as we perceive them but that perception changes with our station in Life as a son, mother, brother, friend, or enemy. Past & Present and Twist Unwind foccus on the struggles often encountered in a relationship, leaving behind one''s former self to become one with another. Cold Shower is about being spiritually awakened, but not by any traditional religion.

The layered and jazzy tones underlying Mugdown''s sound are the compliments of Sharad Khemani. Sharad''s unique musical talent bring the listener to multiple emotional states as his fingers dance along the keys.

Mugdown''s backbone is the dynamic rhythm brought by Jon Callegari on Bass and Alan Katzman on Drums. Both longtime musicians, this duo brings the noise from funk to disco, to indie, to reggae and jazz which give the band such diverse and powerful sounds.
As you listen to the opening lines of ''The Devil in Me'' imagine yourself on a precipice above a unique musical journey. Dive in and enjoy!
