Details:
Jimmy McIntosh was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and grew up in the states where his early influences were the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. In high school Jimmy discovered jazz guitarist Jim Hall, Joe Pass and Pat Metheny. Jimmy then attended Berklee College and had parallel interest in blues based rock, jazz and jazz-rock. His professional career began in Las Vegas where he played in lounge groups and various shows including Mamma Mia, The Lon Bronson Allstar Band and Sheena Easton, and as a house guitarist for national TV shows including Penn and Tellers'' Sin City Spectacular (FX network), Viva Variety (Comedy Central), Drew Carey''s Mr. Vegas (HBO) and The Ron White Show (WB network). On these shows Jimmy played with Slash, Billy Preston, Lyle Lovett, Weird Al Yankovic, Clarence Clemons, Eric Idle, Doris Troy, Marlena Shaw, Joe Walsh and others. Jimmy has also played on studio dates for TV and Radio commercials, TV shows and records.

After hearing the Neville Brothers "Fiyo On The Bayou" Jimmy fell in love with the New Orleans sounds of The Nevilles and The Meters. Jimmy met Art Neville and "Mean" Willie Green (Neville''s drummer) in 1994 and eventually became close friends. The seed was planted to work together, it was just a matter of time!

The Rolling Stones have been a constant influence for Jimmy, especially the "ancient art of weaving" of Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards. Jimmy''s debut record project began with "Mean" Willie Green on drums, Rochon Westmoreland on bass, Ivan Neville on organ and vocals, Cyril Neville on percussion and Art Neville on organ. After hearing about Jimmy''s project, Ronnie Wood expressed interest and ended up playing on five tracks. Ronnie told his friend Jeff Beck about the project and after hearing it, he layed solos on three tracks, although uncredited.

Aside from the Neville Brothers and The Rolling Stones, Jimmy was also influenced by Scott Henderson, Mike Stern and John Scofield. Jimmy has had the chance to jam with all three masters and received much encouragement. His debut album "Orleans to London" is available through https://www.tradebit.com and also through German label ESC Records.
