Details:
“Music has been a large part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing the guitar and singing at the age of eleven and even wrote my first song back then. That’s when I first fell in love with performing music.”
Years later Michael would record his first album. a secular project featuring an all-star band that included the horn section from the band “Blood, Sweat and Tears,” Melissa Manchester’s sax player, the rhythm section from Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen, and Englebert Humperdink’s drummer. Boz Scaggs’ music director wrote four of the songs on that project.

“As much as I loved that experience, my heart really longed to sing for the Lord.” The seed was planted and Michael recorded his first Christian album called “Brand New Love,” releasing it himself on his own label. That album was picked up by KCMS Radio, at the time the fifth largest Christian station in the country and Michael’s music became an instant hit with its listeners. Soon after Michael was selected by Praise Ministries of Los Angeles, CA as one of the Top 16 new Christian Artists in the country and was asked to present a concert with Pat and Debbie Boone at the “Praise Celebration ‘87” in the Anaheim (CA) Convention Center.

Today, Michael Stosic has a renewed sense of God’s calling on his life. Recently he and his wife, Joannie, were invited to Harare, Zimbabwe where Michael ministered in concerts at churches there. As a result, he seeks to bring to the listening audience God’s words of love, words of life, words of encouragement and comfort, through the sharing of songs of worship and praise, and adoration and proclamation through the artistic expression of the performing arts.
