In the spring of 2004, Sometimes Charlie was born. Saul Alpert-Abrams (lead guitarist) and Jon Saalfield (drums/percussion) began getting together to jam after school, and were soon joined by rhythm guitarist Chris Payne, and bassist Charlie Broadbent. The band gelled together, and grew out of the yummy muck of JAM to cover and write their own epic songs. They have featured such virtuosos as Merrick Noyes and Will Marshall on the keyboards. Sometimes Charlie sounds like flaid plannel (plaid flannel?). Interesting colors, soft warmth, and stylishness.
