an old colored gentleman setting in front of Stephen Fosters home in Louisville Kentucky playing his banjo and singing those wonderful old blues songs--I got acquainted with him by just listening and although he was blind he
never missed a note and years later i wrote this song in respect to my memory of him---the greatest thing that could happen to anyone in this business is to have your favorite artist record one of your songs----thanks to all of the above and my best friend Jack Barlow---his album is on c.d. baby---you will be as proud as I am to hear it.
