Chandler Marks is an Artist who is not afraid to expose her inner-self and experiences. Music has always been an outlet for this singer/songwriter from Albany, New York.
The story begins 20 years ago. Chandler was a shy girl who would often escape to her room to listen to her favorite music. Discovering the sounds of Elvis, The Beatles, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt, and Frank Sinatra. Playing songs over and over, memorizing every line, every phrase. From that moment, she knew what she wanted to do with the rest of her life.
Chandler''s first stage performance was at the age of 14. She has since performed on stages from Los Angeles to Nashville to New York. Chandler states that she "feels at home on stage. There is nothing like the energy of a live audience. My goal when I''m on stage is to make the audience feel like they are an equal part of the show".
Chandler''s critically acclaimed EP "Do You Think Of Me" has been heard throughout the United States as well as Europe. Her sophomore CD "Feeling Van Gogh" is already creating a buzz. "The new CD will have a Renaissance feel throughout. I have always been in love with that time period. There is something so romantic, mysterious, raw, yet so refined about the music, the fashion, the architecture, and the way of life. My primary goal on this album is to move my audience. I really wanted the lyrics to be conversational, the melodies and the music to be intoxicating. I want the CD to be like a storybook, each song it''s own chapter".
Chandler''s resume also includes national television appearances, Internet concerts, television and radio commercials, Spokesmodel, voiceovers, short film, and plays.
As Chandler moves into the next chapter of her life, she looks forward to supporting her new CD with tour dates as well as television and radio appearances, and live Internet concerts and chats. You can also find Chandler''s work in the soon to be released book entitled "Discovering The Magic Of Love" by Angela Marie Weiland.
