Based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, Council on Fidelity was formed in early 2006 from members of ''this is the news'' and ''luxury ture''. Their first collaboration involved recording a song for a yet-to-be-released compilation from Guessing Game Records.

Over the last year, the band has recorded songs for a pair of cd singles and have recently completed their debut e.p, "Reach and Frequency".

At the time of this writing, CoF is arranging tour plans and writing material for their debut full-length (due later this year).
