Soul Solution is a passionate and exciting debut from a musical descendant of Prince, James Brown & Sly Stone with the producing skills of today''s hot beatmakers along the likes of Timbaland or Scott Storch. Lyrically, the project brings hope and encouragement in the midst of the stress and hard times people face every day.
Eddie Kanani (pronounced kuh-nah-nee) is an energetic recording artist who has performed in 22 states as well as overseas. He is also an artistic songwriter and talented producer.
Eddie played all the instruments and sang all the vocals on his 26-track debut CD, "Soul Solution". On this adventurous project, Eddie delivers a musical gumbo of R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, Neo-Funk & Soul that first hooks you with the beat and then encourages your heart with the lyrics. The songs for the CD were chosen by gradually narrowing down the selections from a field of more than 500 songs Eddie has written.
"Soul Solution" was mastered at Sterling Sound by Tom Coyne, the legendary engineer that put his finishing touch on recent hit records by Beyonce, Kanye West, Janet Jackson, Common, CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams. The project was mixed by multi-platinum engineer Tom Swift, who was just nominated for a Grammy Award for the album he mixed immediately after Eddie''s debut. Three of the songs on "Soul Solution" were mixed by the hot up-and-coming engineer Agent Peter Parker of Maskaraid Productions. Eddie composed, produced and arranged the entire CD himself.
Eddie’s hit song “Listen & Obey” is also featured on “Holy Hip Hop, Vol. 4”, released nationwide to retail stores on October 17, 2006 by EMI Gospel.
