MP3 Lila Deis - Classic Lullabyes

Gorgeous beloved lullabies and beautiful lesser-known masterpieces by the world’s great composers - lush, intimate, charming, tender, these delightful performances create the perfect mood.

23 MP3 Songs
CLASSICAL: Traditional, KIDS/FAMILY: Lullabies

Details:
Each a masterpiece, these songs immediately capture a moment in time: the exquisite tenderness of parenthood, the mystery of sleep, the innocence of childhood, the sadness that is a part of every life, the wonder and incredible joy that every parent feels, the calm stillness of a summer day.
The hallmark of a great song is its ability to tell a story. Each of these lullabyes does just that, beautifully.
The Artists:
Praised as “simply a dazzling singer” (Newark Star-Ledger), a “strong and lustrous soprano” (Boston Globe), Lila Deis has sung extensively here and abroad with orchestra, with chorus, in recital, opera, and chamber music. She has appeared with many prominent ensembles, including the Stuttgart Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Oratorio Society of New York, Boston Masterworks Chorale, L''Orchestre Symphonique de Grenoble, Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jersey, Philadelphia Classical Symphony, and the Dallas Symphony.
Lila is a frequent soloist in Carnegie Hall with groups including the New York Choral Society (with whom she recorded Carmina Burana for Newport Classic). Of her New York recital debut, the New York Times wrote: “The pleasure derived from the singing of soprano Lila Deis was of the sort not often found in New York concert halls.” She has been presented in solo recital from New York to Texas.
An active chamber musician and co-founder of the Rockport Chamber Music Festival (with David Alpher), Lila toured three continents as the soprano of the New York Vocal Arts Ensemble and with that solo quartet won a unanimous First Prize in the prestigious Geneva Competition.
