MP3 Tim Bragg - Light Comes Rollin'

Melodic rock - with tints of soul, reggae and blues.

16 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Album Rock, ROCK: 70''s Rock

Details:
This collection of songs represents the “back catalogue” of Tim Bragg. A couple of these songs were originally written and recorded in the 80s and five of them have been brought up-to-date with a 2007 re-mix. (The re-mix primarily includes Tim’s added bass, keyboard and percussion – the songs being: Justice; Le Chat; 40 Daze; Waiting for You & Blue for You (Lady).)

11 of the 16 tracks have Steve Smith (1976-93) on drums. Steve was shaping up to be a great drummer – and was a charming, quite lovely young man. Sadly he died at such a very young age. Through these songs a sense of him, his spirit, lives on – and is honoured.

Many of the musicians were quite young during the recording of these tracks and displayed some precocious talent – the guitarists especially. The songs come from three albums recorded at Solar System Studio in Stratford by Tom Ganner. The studio is no longer in the same location, Tom having moved his equipment to a purpose-built cellar in his house.

Of the tracks – In Danger – was played on the BBC while Ode to Phil Lynott has picked up some critical acclaim - weaving Phil’s/Lizzy’s song titles and lyrics into a narrative of the “Black Rose”.

The artwork has been provided by Claire Brierley (see the Two Hens link) – who also painted the original used for Take the Fruit?

Excellent CD - good to hear some of the old tunes again!!
