As a musician all his life, Tim wrote, played and recorded all these songs between 1997 and 2007. He works from Sun Studios at his home in Noordhoek, Cape Town, South Africa, truly a beautiful part of the world; and that beauty finds its way into the music.
As necessary, Tim brings in professionals to supplement his keyboard work. On this album, he features Barry Snyman, a muzo’s muzo, on sax. Barry is responsible for the lyrical sculpting of the melodies, something that was literally in his hands. Barry’s wife Cheryl sat through the numerous sessions in such rapture that Tim knew they were really nailing it. Barry gives expression to his talent in a range of bands, in session work and other outlets, mainly in Johannesburg. He plays tenor, alto and soprano sax, each one with such soul.
