From the start of Tragic''s life, he had to overcome
several different obstacles to reach his current level in life. When he was born he and his mother lived in the Mission before residing in a Government Housing Development in Nashville, Tennessee. The next ten years he was faced with drugs, common crimes, robbery and even murder. But, even with all those adversities in his path, he overcame the temptations that were put on him from the streets. At the tender age of 18, he discovered that the path he was on would only lead to self-destruction and began to steer a new path to sports. While breaking records both in basketball and football, Tragic''s aggressive demeanor led him to football. He eventually received a full scholarship to Jacksonville State University. He spent the next three years creating a buzz on the field and the local music scene. Just as Tragic began to get comfortable with being a football star, a tragic injury occurred during a workout session with the Tennessee Titans. With them not wanting to include Tragic on the active roster, he began to pave another path for himself. Several other NFL teams offered Tragic a spot on the Practice Roster, but he declined and opted for the usual street choices. While involved in several incidents, a friend was brutally murdered and this was a wake up call for Tragic. He sought solace and went back to his music. Tragic''s music career began at the young age of 12. He performed at various talent shows in Nashville, TN. As a child, Tragic spend numerous hours alone writing open-mind thoughts in a rhythmic form. As an underground artist Tragic has sold 20,000 copies under his own label, SpinDuke Records since 2003. In his career, Tragic has turned down several major and independent record deals. Tragic is now looking to expand SpinDuke Records as a household name. He is a new and innovative artist that gives the streets and beyond hope for a better tomorrow. Tragic''s words are simply refreshing with its versatile lyrics. Regardless of age, surroundings or race there is a song for everyone on this album.
