CLARIAS ROCKS IN THE SPACE WHERE JAM MEETS POP.

The newest CD from Clarias titled "Lines" marks the 2nd full-length release from the Boston based band. "Lines" was recorded over the winter months of early 2005 at Q Division Studios in Boston MA. The album was produced by Matthew Ellard (Elliott Smith, Morphine, Weezer, and Rubyhorse), and was mixed at the Nerve Center in Easton, MD by Jeff Juliano who has engineered and mixed multi-platinum albums including John Mayer''s "Room for Squares," Lifehouse''s "Lifehouse," Jason Mraz''s "Waiting for My Rocket to Come," Dave Matthews Band''s "Live at Red Rocks," as well as "Elvis'' Number 1 Hits." "Lines" was mastered at the famed Avatar Studios in New York City by Fred Kevorkian, who holds credit for mastering credits for artists such as Phish and Dave Matthews Band.

...No doubt that Clarias has a big following

" I have no doubt that Clarias has a big following...They find their biggest supporters in the college and postcollege crowds...These guys are certainly talented and play some catchy, fun music."
-Delusions of Adequacy-Rochester, NY

...Their songs are just so damn likeable

"They have a distinct sound, nostalgic of an intimate concert from the 1970''s rock and roll with today''s college rock sounds. With the incorporation of the acoustic and electric guitar, Clarias blasted energy and passion into the small West Village club. It''s obvious the band has been influenced by the jam bands of today. But there seems to be something that sets Clarias apart. Perhaps it''s that their songs are just so damn likeable. Perhaps it''s a sign of a musical revolution, returning to its roots...there seems to be something that everyone can find in Clarias."
-Underrated Magazine-New York City, NY

...straight out of one of John Mayer''s upcoming albums

"Have you ever had an album grip you solely for its sound? That''s what happened to me when I listened to this one. The sound is a fantabulous funk-infused jam-band type of groove. ''Like You Could Care'' is a great funk-acoustic song, mellow to the core with upfront lyrics, something straight out of one of John Mayer''s upcoming albums."
-DiscoveringArtists-Manasquan, NJ

"Clarias is a band that I have been keepin'' tabs on for about 2 years now. They have definitely grown into their own with a unique radio friendly and energetic sound."
-Jeff Juliano (Studio Engineer: John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Lifehouse, Ben Folds, the Dave Matthews Band)

"It''s really great hearing music that is both accessible and creative. The band is opening new ground. This is music that you love to listen to for hours."
-JV Collier (Bassist: Bruce Hornsby)

This pop-rock-jam hybrid eschews any simple description of its sound. Clarias music has roots in jazz, jam and folk while creating a sound that appeals to a wide and eclectic audience.

And for Clarias, music is made in a Related Space.

The term, which is the name of the band''s debut album, is a nod to the coming together of the 5 members'' diverse musical backgrounds, interests and influences to create what producer/engineer Jeff Juliano calls, "energetic, unique and absolutely radio-friendly." Clarias walks the fine line of incorporating tasteful solos and jams with sharp hooks, and thoughtful lyrics. The band''s sound combines vocals reminiscent of John Mayer and Dave Matthews with awesome guitar and piano solo work, and a grooving rhythm section. https://www.tradebit.com calls it, "...a fantabulous funk-infused jam band type of groove with upfront lyrics...something straight out of one of John Mayer''s upcoming albums."

It wasn''t long after this 5-piece jam-rock outfit started playing together that they got the opportunity to work with Juliano (John Mayer, Jason Mraz, O.A.R, DMB) on their hit single "You Might Remember." The single has gone on to be featured on both the April 2004 release of the Decent Xposure Volume 3 Compilation, and the July 2004 release of https://www.tradebit.com''s Volume 5 Earsnacks Compilation. The single has also propelled Related Space to sales exceeding 1,000 copies through the internet and at the band''s live shows.

Clarias, like many jam-rock bands before them, have earned their stripes by playing many college and club shows and promoting the band with the invaluable help of fan-based street teams. At their CD release party in Aug 2003 Clarias played a magnificent set and rocked Boston''s House of Blues to a sold-out hometown crowd of over 300 fans. And in recent months, Clarias'' recognition and fan-base have grown. They were invited to open for rap''s newest super-star 2004 10-time Grammy nominee Kanye West at sold-out Schimmel Theater at Pace University in New York City. They''ve also made a big impact in New York City at the Lion''s Den in the West Village where they have played alongside the Josh Dodes Band, and Fighting Gravity. In Clarias'' continuous touring they''ve also shared the stage with acts such as Mason Jennings, Oval Opus, Stephen Kellogg, Steven Page of Barenaked Ladies, Meika Pauley, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

But Clarias does not play shows without a conscience. Clarias plays many shows in support of meaningful and great causes and foundations. In May 2004, Clarias performed at Boston''s AidsWalk 2004 for hundreds of walkers at the MDC Hatchshell along with comedian Margaret Cho. The walk raised over $1,000,000.00 for Boston''s Aids Action Committee. In June 2004, Clarias played along with pro-football star Doug Flutie''s band at the Regent Theater in Arlington, MA for Boston Celtic''s player Walter McCarty''s I Love Music Foundation. The foundation, much like VH-1''s Save the Music, raises money and provides instruments and resources to elementary school music education programs. Clarias has also raised money and awareness for foundations like Rock the Vote, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, the US Marines Toys for Tots Foundation and the Massachusetts Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

"Lines" is released July 19th, 2005.
