Cold Driven, just as the name implies, each member of this band is calculating, solid and driven.
Cold Driven is a distinctive Rock band comprised of many different influences and genres. Most members are from small urban communities, while one is internationally known. The music is spiked with hip-hop, punk, and metal with a dash of classical guitar and brainwashing electronic samples. This makes their sound very unique, emotional and dynamic. Most members have been playing so long that no real musical borders have been defined, which compels the music to come from within them.
Dennis, Shane, Billy, Ben, Joe, and Guenter were all driven at a very young age to make music. Picking up instruments that were close at hand, many of the members were able to quickly learn any instrument from guitar, drums, piano, to saxophone. Their self-taught talents were used as a way to express their emotions and aspirations, giving them a means to cope with life and boredom.
Cold Driven has been featured in a number of articles in several well-known North Okanagan newspapers. Their combination of heavy rock with melodic vocals grabbed the attention of a wide audience and brought such comments as,
-"Strong, well written songs delivered from the heart with sounds like a ton of bricks!"
-" A huge blend of music that kicks A$$!! Rock fans get ready for a new band, with songs that won''t leave your head."
Their latest endeavors were opening for K-OS at the Bluff in Kelowna, BC on June 29, 2005. They were also featured at X-10sion 207''s Grand Opening in Kelowna, BC and their highly successful CD (Set In Stone) release party at Dixon''s Pub in Salmon Arm, BC rocked the house down.
Having a combined blend of musical prowess, passionate vocals, and crowd capturing intensity, Cold Driven is an immediate addiction to the senses. They want audiences to leave knowing they have found a band they can call their own, asking when and where they can see them again, and creating their own image of what this music is to them.
