Writing songs about biodiversity combines Nancy''s love for nature with her love for music. "The Web of Life" is Nancy''s fourth CD and is full of catchy melodies and syncopated rhythms. It is meant for nature lovers, conservationists, environmentalists, hikers, bikers, and anyone who loves Planet Earth! Although it is not written as "kid''s music," this collection of songs and instrumentals appeals to kids and adults alike.
Nancy began taking piano lessons at the age of seven and began playing the flute at ten. She has studied classical music, theory, harmony, songwriting, and earned an Associate of Arts Degree in 1994. She taught piano for many years, and has been a songwriter for the past six years.
Born in San Jose, California, Nancy was raised near Memphis, Tennessee, and spent ten years in the Mississippi Delta before moving to sunny Florida, where she currently resides with her husband and two daughters. They live in a house that an orange Tabby cat named Captain Amelia shares with them. In addition to songwriting, Nancy enjoys photography (you can see some on her website) and Mediterranean cooking.
