Colin Spring and the Band That Murdered Silence "Cancion del Pollo" was released at the end of 2004 with Michael Hallet on guitar, Natty Scholz on bass, Fran Hapke on drums and Melinda Friedman accompanying on vocals. The album was produced by Greg Williamson (Sunny Day Real Estate, Jeremy Enigk).

Colin Spring had previously released two solo albums prior to "Cancion del Pollo" and has recently release his third.

It is a testament to the scope of his songwriting that Colin and/or the band, has shared bills with such a wide array of artists including Ben Harper, the Offspring, Richard Buckner, Damien Jurado, Johnny Dowd, Gerald Collier, Stuart Davis, the Gentlemen (Chris Ballew,Duff McKagen), Michael Miller, Shane Nicholson, Jon Langsford of the Mekons, Bobby Bare Jr, Tom Freund, Matt The Electrician and Evan Dando.
