JOSETTE ABLES the wife of Deacon Franklin Ables for 8 yrs. Mother of 3, attends the New Life Christian Church in Ledyard, Ct, under Pastors Johnny and Sharon Burns. She has been a faithful member for the past 13 years and currently serves as deaconess. Josette has ministered in praise and worship for over the past 12 years as a New Life psalmist and participated as a member of the New Life Restoration Choir in the recording of their debut CD, “Restore Me.”
Within the past 5 yrs. Josette has experienced a call to evangelize . With the anointing to grow and guidance in ministry, she has accomplished more things moving with hinds feet to minister and tell of the gospel of Jesus Christ in song, spoken word, scripture, and testimony.
The month of June of 2007 Josette released her 1st gospel CD via a debut concert entitled “My Song Of Worship.” This 2 year project in the making has ministerd to many since the CD release, many souls were saved, delivered and set free.
Josette has been blessed to work with very anointed men and woman in the music ministry. Talents to include but not limited to the following: TROY OLIVER of Chocolate Factory, who mixed and mastered the CD, as well as composed the music for the theme song “My Song of Worship." Minister of music FREDRICK CREIG, who was the director of music and composer of the CD, and recording artist SHARON BURNS, who co-wrote “Forever I Lift My Voice” alongside her husband Pastor Johnny Burns.
Since Josette’s release on a local scale over 1000 units have been sold, several radio stations are giving her CD airplay. WCNI 90.9fm and WNLC 98.7fm. Within the last 5 years Josette as an innovative head psalmist coordinated and conducted praise and worship for 2 major woman’s conference in South Eastern Ct. One being the annual woman’s conference held by the New Life Church of Southeast CT and the “Woman of Destiny” conferences of New England held by Rev. Joyce Pollard. Josette also had appearances in 2 gospel musical plays. A supporting role in the play “Forgiven” written by Dennis Mcgee as well as ministering the theme song in the play “He Has Risen” written by Derrick Williams. She has also been a participant in the 1st Gospel Dream competition in Atlanta, GA with Elvin Ross and Bishop Paul Morton in 2003. In 2004 Josette placed 1st in CT. Gospel Fest Competition.
Only God can reveal the total destiny He has prepared for Josette. Josette’s heart desire is for people to be saved, healed, and changed forever by utilizing the gifts and talents given to her by the Almighty God that He may be glorified in, through and by her life. “For this is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our sight.”
