POP: Pop/Rock, ROCK: Modern Rock

A Dose of Reality (ADOR) was formed in 2005 out of Boston, MA by members Dan Collins, Matt Hlavac, Dave Monheit, and Jesse Magnuson. The four had met during their time at Berklee School of Music. Constant drinking and partying between the four led to the next logical step....work sucks, playing music is fun, we like to drink, lets start a band. Working and writing together came easy to the four old friends. They immediately set off to complete their first EP, "Good Things Come to Those Who Hate" which was finished in late 2006. Constant gigging around the Boston area led to a following that was small but fierce. The fans embraced the party attitude that the band personified. As the shows mounted, so did the fan base. Sensing that it was time to do something with themselves, ADOR took their career to the next step by completing a full length album and releasing it independently. Something was still missing though...

The new full length cd, "Here Is: A Dose of Reality" relied heavily on keyboard and synth in its orchestration. Live however, these parts had to be covered on guitar by Matt and Dave. It just wasn''t the complete sound. In stepped the band''s friend Tomo Noda to take care of the keys. "She was already drinking with us full time so she might as well play too", was the overall concensus. Finally the lineup was complete and A Dose of Reality poised to take over.
