A veteran of countless bar bands and original projects from around 1974 to 1995, I then dropped out of music alltogether to pursue more commonplace ventures. I rarely picked up a guitar or gave much thought to playing and really didn''t miss it that much. About a year and a half ago, though I made a decsion to start playing again on a limited basis. I bought a Stratocaster, a Marshall practice amp, a Casio keyboard and a four track cassette recorder. I messed with that for a while and decided 4 tracks wasn''t enough, so I bought a Tascam 8 track digital recorder. I don''t remember much after that. Writing and recording became an instant obsession when I realized what could be done with the digital recorder and trying to improve the recording quality of my songs became an all consuming task. I now am using a 24 track Tascam recorder and countless computer programs, including Sonar/Cakewalk producer edition and Sony Sound Forge to name a few. I still haven''t come close to perfecting anything, but I am getting closer all the time. I am a little beyond the age where dreams of rock stardom are sensible but I do have hopes of adding to a fan base, which I have gained through cd''s I have recorded and sent out. I will continue to try to build on that fan base and who knows what could happen. At the very least, I have rediscovered my love of music and the procees of creating music. It is a great thing to rediscover.
