Somewhere between James Taylor and Stevie Wonder, Acoustic Soul is a words that matter again, part acoustic part electric, album. Although it covers a range of styles (beautiful vocal arrangements) these songs really hung together as a heartfelt statement from a contemporary mind. If you like Hammond B3 and Fender Rhodes, you won’t be disappointed on this one.
Supple grooves, spiritual flashes and the smooth sound on vocals and guitar of Emil Borgir—Acoustic Soul is a soothing tonic for a post modern headache.
