Melvin Fuselier hails us from Houston, Texas by way of Lake Charles, Louisiana. This son of a preacher man began his love affair with music at the age of five, singing in the New Emanuel Baptist church Choir. He later played trumpet and concert in the marching band (Washington Marion High School). He them left to served in the Marine Corp. but later enrolled in Texas Southern University Music Dept. Studying voice theory, composing, and sang in the choir and jazz ensemble. But once again detoured by financial hardship, and the responsibilities of fatherhood, he would spend, the next ten years of his life as a street-hustler and earn his “OG” status…. Are you ready yet? Nope ….not yet…. he hung up his pimp hat for ownership of, a trucking, company…. so after much ado and several near, death experiences he finally went for broke to return to his first love…Music and shortly there after signed a deal with Pobammusic LLC to bring us to this raw & unique yet beautiful portrait. He draws from a long line of vocal greats like (Donny Hathway, Sam Cook, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Isley Brothers, and their influence can be heard in this talented rapper- singer-songerwriter’s silky soul, “in yo face” style up close and personal. …Fuse in Oct. 2006 reconnected with long time friend Jacqueline White of Serious Business Entertainment she became his personal manager. And has since been on a mission OG Fuse is that triple threat and something different that everyone is looking for he holds down R&B, Rap, Gospel with the greatest of ease and is gaining respect in all three areas. Fuse is a force to be reckon with and 2007 is the year for everyone to know that the game has changed.
