Phillip Gardenhire has performed for many named artist, local bands, bars and clubs, churches, recorded in studios, and helped many other artists fulfill their needs for several projects.
This CD, In The Night, is a conglomeration of styles, nuances, and ideas that Phil has developed into original compositions. It was done using the old school approach of “if you messed up, play it over again” philosophy, instead of trying to edit the part to make it perfect.
Each tune on this CD represents different aspects of Phil’s musical life. One day it is classical, another fusion, another R&B, then funk, then jazz, then soft ballads, and then the circle repeats. You will hear deep bass, piano melodies, string and synth melodies, a koto melody, a sax melody, and contrapuntal melodies.
This CD was produced, written, performed, arranged, recorded and mixed by Phillip Gardenhire.
