AIT Records is pleased to present Memories of Ethiopia, a collection of traditional Ethiopian instrumental music. This album is recorded using only authentic Ethiopian musical instruments; the Kirar (consists of a circular wooden sound box from which six strings are attached to an upper stick held in position by two arms extending up ward in the shape of ‘V’), the Kebero (a large drum made of cow’s hide stretched over cylindrical wooden frame), the Washint (a four-holed reed pipe made of bamboo and traditionally played by shepherds) and the Masinko (a one-stringed fiddle consisting of diamond shape wooden sound box and string made from strands of horsetail).
