With a killer knack for magnetic songwriting, and an intense, charismatic stage presence, DAZE embodies the elements of today''s band. Having been compared to such artists as The Alkaline Trio, Weezer, and Jimmy Eat World, DAZE is becoming known for the melodic hooks culminated by edgy guitar and heart-thumping grooves. Already receiving airplay on college radio around the country and developing a loyal following with each passing show, DAZE is vastly becoming a regular "dorm room" name.
The New York City based trio debuted onto the scene in the fall of 2002, after Jem and Boris graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. DAZE recently finalized their lineup with the addition of hard-hitting drummer, DRE'', completing the band and revitalizing the bandÕs sound.
The powerful live music produced by this trio has overwhelmed audiences across the country, as DAZE is now heading out on their second US ''FRESH RED'' Tour in support of their first full-length album, Fresh Red, which was released in late 2003 and continues to receive high accolades. The 3-month tour is set to launch in NJ and will make stops in Birmingham, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, just to name a few. The album has been described as a collection of tales of both sex & love and smash hit anthems of youthful angst, which will stand the test of time with audiences for years to come.
