I have always been an adventurer. Whether paracuting from a plane to fight fire, exploring an underwater cave, or canoeing a calm river, I have always been attune to the awesomeness of nature.
One evening I noticed a beautiful sunset. The billowing clouds appeared soft and were were fire red, yellow, pink and orange. It made me think of a verse "her kiss was like a cotton candy sunset."
That sunset was the inspiration for a song and my new cd titled "Cotton Candy Sunset (best of Dane Hinkle)." The album is a refreshing mix of new songs and other favorites delivered through folk/blues genre that I call mudsill music.
The songs "Mr. Moon," "Internet Girlfriend," and "Cotton Candy Sunset" on this cd are my personal favorites. Also, I would like to thank my friend Buddy Capps (AKA Bo Black), former lead singer for "Asylum Suite," for adding "string effects" to my song "Mr. Moon," and Bass Guitar to "Internet Girlfriend" at his recording studio here in east Tennessee.
