How old are you?
26

Where did you grow up?
Hemet, CA I lived there up until i finished high school
then i went off to college. first San Luis Obispo, Ca. then to Napa, Ca. Then to Australia, NSW.

So you lived in Australia, how was that?
It was great. I went to college out there and surfed all the time. I was there for 5 years. Graduated with a BA in Art. It was increadible. I made really good friends out there. We plan to go back.

Wow, and now back in the US, Why?
Well I graduated and my wife wanted to travel abit.

Is she An Aussie?
Yes, a dang good looking one.
Well lets get to the music.

What instrument do you play?
Guitar, ukelele, bass, little piano.

How long have you been writing songs?
Well i''ve always written some sort of something ever snce i got my first guitar, but seriously writting about 2 years ago.

What style of music do you play?
Well its a combination of a few. i mean out there now is pretty much everything but. Its predominantly Acoustic Rock. Kind of groovy, mellow, and fun. Its fun music.

What was the first song you learned?
The first songs I learned on the guitar were "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zepplin and "Under the Bridge" by Red Hot
Chili Peppers. My guitar teacher at the time (Ted Owens) taught me the songs and got me on my way.

What inspires you?
My music is inspired by everyday living, my journey, love, life, happiness, and problems we face. I try to stay positive through everything though, even through everything that''s going on in this psycho world. It dosen''t pay to be a worrier all the time.

Who have you looked up to in music in the past?
Well as i was growning up i listen alot to what my friends listen to. Metallica, Bon Jovi, Megadeth, Guns and Roses. You know those old metal bands.
Later my taste in music has expanded quite broadly. I had a punk and ska phase. which i still listen to every now and again. my favorites were Sublime, Home Grown, Bad religion, NoFX, Mu330, Square roots. Now Days i listen to pretty much everything. Really really Found my niche with folksy groove rock.

How do you start writing a song?
It usually comes from Paying my guitar. I''ll be practicing figuring out new ways of doing things and an idea pops into my head.
I do tend to write the music first and then add the lyrics to how i''m feeling at the time, or what''s going on in my life at the time. Most of my songs evolve over time. Not in one shot. If I tend to get stuck, (writers block) i''ll leave it and come back to it later or ask
gorgeous wife for her input.
What are you doing now?
I spend alot of time hanging out with my lovely wife Linda. I play a few solo gigs around the Southern California area.
Thanks Denny for the interview.
Thank you man.
